Set among tall eucalyptus in the Perth Hills, the Theosophical Retreat Centre at Mt Helena offers a peaceful bushland setting for study, reflection, and group programs.
Where You'll Stay
Four self-contained brick chalets accommodating up to 23 guests in total. Each chalet has a common living area, kitchenette, and private bedrooms — simple, comfortable, and surrounded by bush.
On Site
The centre is well-equipped for group programs, workshops, and seminars — with dedicated meeting spaces, a full dining hall, and a commercial kitchen.
Spacious carpeted room with TV screen, whiteboard, ceiling fans, and seating for up to 30. Well suited to lectures, workshops, and group study.
Large communal dining room with long tables, ceiling fans, and bush views through wide windows. Capacity for the full group.
Fully equipped commercial kitchen with industrial range, stainless benches, and everything needed for catering larger groups.
Centre Policy
To maintain the peaceful and mindful character of the retreat, guests are asked to observe the following. These apply to all visitors and hirers.

The Surroundings
The centre sits within established native bushland in the Perth Hills — home to kangaroos, native wildflowers, and towering eucalyptus. An ideal environment for rest, contemplation, and meaningful group study.

From the shaded verandas to the open fire pit, the outdoor spaces at Mt Helena are as much a part of the retreat experience as the buildings.
